The idea I had about the Blackbeard Coin of Copper was a bust. So much for the non observation skills of Geocachers! Going Caching 2020 did not happen because of covid concerns. It is happening this year September 29 thru October 3, 2021 in Rome, GA? The theme is the roaring 20's. Just about every week I participate in a POTA setup somewhere. We have even gone out of Georgia for POTA? I have improved greatly in my radio skills talking to people and my listening skills trying to pull out what is being said when the noise levels are really bad. There are eight POTA sites that are airstrips that are active but have not been activated in SE Idaho. I discovered one of these back in 2016 after revisiting a geocache that I had visited in 2011. I'm wanting to go out there and activate all of them. That will have to be mid October at the soonest for the 30 hour drive to the area. My friend Jack McGuire has been in the hospital for over two weeks with some sort of covid related crap. I'm hoping the best and recovery for him soon. For some unknown reason while driving my 2017 Subaru WRX in August 2020, I blacked out resulting crashing the car. I purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback that was preowned to replace that car. It's just transportation for me and not near as fun to drive as the WRX was. I really miss that car! The keyless ignition in the Outback I don't like nor the weird automatic transmission. I do have the option of using the paddle shifting though. The WRX got better MPG than the Outback gets me now. The Longest Yard Sale wasn't that great this year in trying to sell off some of David Nunnally's funiture. Someone finally got the rest of their stuff out of my garage so I can move David's stuff over there.
